Trace Image
Transform raster images into scalable vector graphics (SVG) with clean paths.
In black-and-white mode, higher values include more pixels as dark shapes.

Turn Pixels into Infinite Vectors
Scalable Output
Generate scalable path shapes from sampled pixels. The output preserves the approximation, not lost source detail.
Clean Paths
Sampled pixels become SVG paths. This simple approximation can create large files; inspect the result.

How to use this tool
- Select a PNG, JPEG or WebP with a clear subject and simple colors.
- Choose Black & White for a silhouette, or Color for a sampled color approximation.
- In black-and-white mode, adjust Threshold to control which pixels become dark shapes. Adjust Sample size to change detail in either mode.
- Compare the preview and select Download SVG when it is useful for your project.
Settings, examples and limitations
This tracer builds SVG paths from horizontal spans in black-and-white mode and sampled color blocks in color mode. It is a simple bitmap approximation, not a curve-fitting or professional logo reconstruction service. Diagonal edges may look stepped, and photographs may produce large SVG files.
For responsiveness, the tracing grid is limited to 800 pixels along the longest side. The output keeps the original display dimensions but cannot preserve detail beyond the sampled grid. In black-and-white mode, increasing the threshold includes more pixels; color mode does not use that slider.
Exports are SVG only. EPS export and batch tracing are not available. For photographs, try a smaller WebP export instead of converting every visible patch into vector paths.
